Karla Jones Wilson, JD, LL.M. is a Real Estate and Business Attorney who has represented developers, investors and business owners for over 18 years. She provides counsel and legal interpretation on complex real estate acquisitions, dispositions, development and business transactions, 1031 Tax-Deferred Exchanges, including public and private financing, due diligence, corporate formation and governance, contract negotiation and drafting, regulatory compliance, risk management, litigation and employment matters. As a compliment to her legal work in the real estate industry, Karla is also a REALTOR® with eXp Realty in Siesta Key and assists her clients with the purchase and sale of high-end residential, multifamily, commercial and investment properties throughout Southwest Florida.

Karla earned a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Purdue University, a Juris Doctor from Washburn University School of Law and a Masters of Law in Taxation from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law.

Karla has a passion for serving the community and enjoys giving back. She currently serves as a Board Member of the Children’s Guardian Fund, a Board Member and Co-Chair of the Development Committees for Planned Parenthood of Southwest and Central Florida, a Member of the Realtor Attorney Joint Committee for the Realtor Association of Sarasota and Manatee (RASM), a Member of Masala Giving Circle, a Member and the Chair of the Risk Management Committee for Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. – Lambda Omicron Omega Chapter and volunteers to feed the homeless with the Blessing Bags Foundation.

Karla resides in Lakewood Ranch, FL with her husband, Bradley, and their two boys, Brandon and Kristopher. They love visiting the beach and go as often as they can.
